Fidel Castro seems to be making a recovery and is expected to return to power soon. Of course, this information comes from the same kind of people who tell us tales about Kim Jong Il's golf scores.

However, perhaps the most interesting part of this story is the fact that Elian Gonzalez, the one time America's Sweetheart who almost singlehandedly brought down communism, has sent Fidel a get well soon note.

When he was in Florida, the little tyke was wearing Mickey Mouse shirts and chanting with Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Now the miniscule flip-flopper is as red as a sunburn on an albino. Of course, it may have something to do with a nation that would hold a kid at gunpoint to make him do what they want. Who would do that?
